WINDHOEK- The pension fund industry is calling for inclusive and wider consultations before government amends the Administration of Estates Act of 1965, which could collapse some of the industry’s players. These concerns follow amendments which have been made to certain parts of the Administration of Estates Act, 1965 (Act No. 66 of 1965) but
did not address issues relating to the administration of the Guardian’s Fund and safe custody and record keeping of
the Offices of the Master of the High Court.

WINDHOEK - Leader of the Landless  People’s Movement (LPM) Bernadus Swartbooi has vowed to take on Public
Enterprises Deputy Minister Veikko Nekundi who poked holes in the new party’s list of supposed members, in an
objection submitted to the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) on Friday.

WINDHOEK – Three councillors at City of Windhoek have dismissed claims that unqualified relatives were recruited in City Police with their assistance. At a press conference last week, Nudo City representative Josef Kauandenge availed a list of 11names of people allegedly related to ruling party Swapo councillors employed in the Windhoek City Police.

SWAKOPMUND - The American Museum of Natural History last week turned down a request week by the Namibian Genocide Association led by Laidlaw Peringanda to inspect and verify the origin of some human remains kept in the
museum. The New York-based museum has at least eight remains of people of southern African descent.

WINDHOEK-Beauty queen, youth activist and marketing student Christiana Gure has been selected to represent the Land of the Brave at the 45th edition of the Miss Intercontinental pageant taking place in Manila, Philippines this month.
