OTJIWARONGO - Food relief is on the way for needy households in Otjozondjupa region, as the national food bank program will roll out to Okahandja and Otjiwarongo by the end of June. 

WINDHOEK- Although constrained by a limited budget, the National Council standing committees achieved an implementation rate of 76 percent of the planned activities from which nine reports were tabled and adopted. 

RUNDU - The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) is closing down its Ndiyona settlement sub-office in Ndiyona Constituency in Kavango East and the three staff members  at the office will be relocated to Buffalo core area in the Bwabwata (West) National Park in Mukwe, Kavango East.

WALVIS BAY - Swapo vice-president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has reiterated the ruling party’s position that members aspiring to stand as independent candidates in elections must first quit the party.

WINDHOEK - Following months of anxiety among defaulting students at the University of Namibia (Unam) over being allowed to sit for their exams, the university management has decided to allow such students to write exams which started this week.

WINDHOEK – President Hage Geingob – who also heads Namibia’s ruling party Swapo - has added his voice to the loud thunders of congratulations for his South African counterpart, the African National Congress (ANC) and SA President Cyril Ramaphosa, following their victory in the just-ended elections.
