WINDHOEK – The City of Windhoek (CoW), through its marketing and events sections and in conjunction with various stakeholders, has revealed to Entertainment Now! that it spends approximately N$300 000 to host the New Year bash, but that wasn’t the case last year due to budgetary constraints.

No respite expected for small businesses this year – Cirrus Securities
WINDHOEK – The Economic Outlook for 2020 by Cirrus Securities, a company started in 2017 with a focus on corporate advisory, capital raising and research, predicts that small businesses in Namibia are expected to remain under pressure during 2020. As a result, and depending on the severity of new government policies, Cirrus expects that many small businesses will either close their doors, or lay off further workers.
Nust in search of a vice-chancellor
During the year 2019, the longest serving rector and first vice-chancellor of the Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust) Dr Tjama Tjivikua stepped down after long service to the university community and the nation.
