Governor of Omusati region Erginus Endjala said there are many achievements in the region after independence worth celebrating.

Kavango West governor Sirkka Ausiku says since the creation of the region in 2013, it has managed to record some achievements in development and service delivery.

In a couple of days, Namibians will be marching yet again in celebration of Namibia’s thirty-two years of political independence. As customary, 21 March marks an important event on the national calendar.

At Independence, the Namibian government inherited a fragmented healthcare and social welfare system, which was administered by second-tier authorities that created 11 different administrations and parallel programmes.

Oshana governor Elia Irimari said Namibia has made remarkable achievements since independence in 1990, which is evident in the Oshana region today.
