Murder accused to get new trial dates

A young woman, accused of killing her 70-year-old lover by stabbing him multiple times with a kitchen knife, will get new dates for her trial hearing. Magistrate Mehluli Nyazo postponed the case of Victoria Gorases (25) to 23 May for allocation of new trial dates and to allow Gorases’ new lawyer Mbanga Siyomunji to obtain disclosure and consult her.

Mere 11 090mt horse mackerel available on auction

Only 11 090 metric tons of horse mackerel, which forms part of the governmental objective quota, will be available to the highest bidders this year. The finance and fisheries ministries, who are responsible for the disposal of governmental objective quota, on Friday invited prospective buyers to submit their bids before 29 April.
