In classrooms worldwide, teachers encounter a variety of behaviours from their students. Some are attentive, eager to learn and actively participate in class discussions, while others may seem disinterested or daydreaming. 

In recent months, since the Supreme Court ruling in the Digashu case, Namibia has witnessed expressions of mixed emotions and opinions with reference to the Supreme Court ruling that the term ‘spouse’ in Section 2(1)(c) of the Immigration Control Act 7 of 1993 is to be interpreted to include same-sex spouses who are lawfully married in another country. 

The socio-economic difficulties that our dear country, Namibia, is currently experiencing must be solved by all of us. Although it is simple to criticise our leaders, it is important to understand that they cannot change our country on their own. 

Bureaucrats and politicians’ inability to coordinate their activities efficiently as well as the lack of collective action had been the downfall of Namibia's public service systems.
