Patient jumps out of moving ambulance

WINDHOEK – The Namibian police in Omusati Region are investigating a case of reckless and or negligent driving against an ambulance driver and a nurse after a patient, who is believed to be mentally unstable, jumped from the moving vehicle while being transported to the Oshakati state hospital from Outapi.

Businessman sent to prison for 35 years

WINDHOEK - Businessman Sakarias (Sacky) Mathias, 59, was sentenced to an effective 35 years imprisonment yesterday by Windhoek High Court Judge Naomi Shivute after he was found guilty on charges of murder, attempted murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition without a license and attempt to defeat or obstruct the course of justice.
