Oshikoto governor Penda ya Ndakolo has expressed condolences to former First Lady Monica Geingos, the children, family, close friends and the entire country following the death of President Hage Geingob yesterday.

Newly inaugurated President Nangolo Mbumba, who succeeded the late President Hage Geingob, has promised to pick up from where his predecessor left off and continue his legacy. 

The nation was plunged into mourning yesterday following the announcement of the death of President Hage Geingob, Namibia’s third democratically-elected leader.

Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) and the Rehoboth Town Council (RTC) are currently addressing outstanding matters concerning the transfer of Reho Spa, one of which involves completing transfer cost payments at the deeds office.

Sanlam last week proposed to buy its smaller competitor, Assupol Holdings Limited, for around N$6.5 billion. Sanlam has officially stated its intention to acquire 100% of the issued ordinary shares of Assupol through a scheme of arrangement, with a fallback general offer to Assupol shareholders. 

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) recorded a profit of N$19 million for the 2022/2023 financial year. This was revealed during the NAC’s recent AGM, where the Annual Financial Statement (AFS) showed the company turned from a loss-making position of over N$93 million in 2022 to a profit of more than N$19 million in 2023.
