WINDHOEK – The Youth Corner this week spoke to learners from schools in Windhoek on their sentiments about going back to school.

WINDHOEK – The second term for the 2019 school calendar started on Monday with those at the helm of education urging parents to be involved in the education of their children for better results towards the end of the year. 

Last month the Finance Minister announced the national budget and a few weeks later, the President gave his state of the nation speech. The common denominator was that they were all centered around the youth.

We live in a time where we tend to need instant gain. We want to go to the gym for two days and stand on the scale looking for results. We want to start the job today and look for growth within three months.

WINDHOEK- Being a Mandela Washington Fellowship alumnus for the 2016 academic year, Alphons Koruhama had the passion for solving community issues. 

A 23-year-old teacher will publish her first book entitled ‘True repentance  – eight years of false profession’ on a yet to be announced date. 

WINDHOEK – The African Youth and Adolescent Network (AFRIYAN) has started a campaign to collect sanitary pads for vulnerable young girls across the country. 

WINDHOEK- Driven by his passion to make a meaningful contribution to society through education, a 25-year old Windhoek based teacher has officially launched an adult literacy centre in the Goreangab informal settlement.

The world is tough and mean. In a sense it is actually cutthroat, everybody is trying to reach the top or become the best and many will do anything in their power to overcome obstacles in their way, even if those obstacles are fellow people.
