There are only two things I consider constant in this world. Ever since I came to life in my mommy’s tummy and all the years I have spent walking this earth, there have only been two things I consider constant and permanent.

The world spends billions of dollars on the fashion and entertainment industry, an industry that preys on the insecurities of individuals and especially creates an inadequacy in the individual. Inadequacy and insecurity are the foundation on which the industry is built because it creates a false impression that the famous celebrities covered in the tabloids are the norm and standard.

WINDHOEK – Priskilla Salkeus, a young medical technologist and public health advocate, describes herself as an outgoing, witty and persuasive individual with a keen interest in public health, public speaking and chatting.

WINDHOEK- Talah Hashipala learned from an early age that hardwork breeds success and the Grade 12 learner who is also a model is now a proud owner of an online clothing store. The 23-year old started selling clothes at the age of 21 and is now the proud owner of T&M Fashion Collection. 

WINDHOEK- The Maltas Club Namibia, a premier student club that caters for young students who do not only excel in their academic career but also in other spheres of their lives, such as community work, recently held its extensive leadership training bootcamp near Maltahöhe in the Hardap Region.  

WINDHOEK- The “Omahongero mEpukiro” (Education in Epukiro) initiative handed over 4 971 books worth more than N$700 000 to the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture.

WINDHOEK- How many Namibian writers do you know? Can you mention them by name? I am sure Jane Katjavivi with her ‘Undisciplined Heart’ will come to mind.
